"AI for Clinical Decision Making and Operational Efficiency"
AI has the potential to transform healthcare by enabling doctors to make timely, evidence-based care decisions. AI can also alleviate burdensome administrative tasks so that providers can focus on bedside care. There are, however, serious concerns about AI in the healthcare setting, including bias, transparency, explainability, security and liability. This session will focus on the future of AI as a tool for clinical decision support and administration simplification for tasks such as prior authorization and charting.
Open Discussion & Consensus Building

Attendees will participate in a group discussion about the appropriate role of AI to create clinical and operational efficiencies, as well as best practices for developing AI champions among clinical teams.
Discussion Topic 2
10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
AI for Research and Discovery
AI has the power to revolutionize the research and discovery process for life sciences organizations and selected research sites, from streamlining clinical trials to collecting real-world evidence. Hear firsthand how AI is stretching R&D dollars, speeding evidence collection and enabling faster introductions of innovative therapies.

“AI Policies and Payment”
AI implementations can be costly, and health system margins are razor thin. How will AI be paid for and what incentives will be created to speed adoption? Who will “own” the insights that AI generates? Will data needed to fuel AI be available for a fee, or will it be a public utility? How and should AI in healthcare be regulated? This session will raise the thorny issues that could limit AI adoption.

Enabling AI Adoption
Across healthcare, you will find AI evangelists and AI haters, AI early adopters and AI laggards. This panel will focus on how we can create the right incentives to ensure that technology lives up to its promises without leaving whole communities and care givers behind. We will focus on how to build coalitions of the willing who can offer constructive feedback on how AI could improve the quality of care and how to scale AI across providers, including in educational curriculums, and communities that may have legitimate fears about moving forward.
Open Discussion & Consensus Building
2:30 - 3:15 p.m.
Attendees will participate in a group discussion and recommend potential solutions enable the ethical and widespread adoption of AI, as well as brainstorm best practices for ensuring equitable access to technology.
